There are several ways to customize the TM app so it suits your personal preferences. In this article, we will show you how to adjust a variety of settings that manage sound, meditation and study reminders, notifications, and more.
Select the settings you would like to learn about.
To change the sound and vibration settings
In the TM app, it’s possible to adjust the timer so that a sound or vibration is enabled after each segment of your meditation.
This feature is off by default because hearing a sound or vibration during meditation may be jarring.
However, if you feel you need a sound or vibration after your TM practice, we recommend adjusting the volume so that it is low and does not startle you during your meditation. It’s also ideal to set the timer to chime a little later than you plan to meditate, so you can finish your meditation before you hear the soft alarm.
There are three ways you can adjust your sound settings:
On the Transcend screen by tapping the number of minutes or in Settings
On the Transcend screen, using the device’s volume buttons
On the Transcend screen, by tapping the volume percentage
Tap the volume percentage, then adjust the volume with the slider. This option is only available when the sound has already been enabled in Settings.
To change your account details
You can update your personal information in the app at any time by adjusting your account details. For instance, you can update your phone number and bio, and you can add or change your picture as well.
Here’s how to do it.
In the Transcend or Profile section, tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
A Settings menu will be displayed. Scroll down and select Account details under Account settings.
Change the account details you’d like to adjust. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Save changes.
