How to subscribe to the TM app supporter program

  1. Open the TM app.

  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the Transcend or Profile screen.


  3. Under Account settings, choose Supporter program


  4. Tap Become a TM app supporter

  5. If you are on iOS, the Apple payment screen will appear for confirmation.

    • Tap Subscribe

    • Complete the payment using your Apple ID payment method.

  6. If you’re on Android, Google Play will open for confirmation.

    • Tap Subscribe

    • Complete the payment using your Google Play payment method.


2. How to cancel your subscription

All subscriptions must be canceled through the app store where they were purchased. The TM app team cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

Cancel on iOS

  1. Open Settings on your phone or the App Store

  2. Tap your name > Subscriptions.

  3. Select Transcendental Meditation.

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel on Android

  1. Open Google Play Store.

  2. Tap your profile icon.

  3. Go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

  4. Select Transcendental Meditation.

  5. Tap Cancel subscription.


3. Restore Purchase

Go to Profile > Restore Purchase

You use “Restore Purchase” in the App Store when you’ve already paid for something and need to unlock it again without being charged.

Here are the common scenarios:

1. You got a new device. If you switch to a new iPhone or iPad, the app won’t automatically know you previously bought a subscription or one time purchase. Restore Purchase reconnects it to your Apple ID.

2. You deleted and reinstalled the app. Reinstalling may reset your access. Restoring lets the app check your purchase history.

3. You were charged but the app still shows you as unsubscribed. Sometimes the app doesn’t sync correctly. Tapping Restore Purchase fixes that.

4. You’re logged into the same Apple ID but the app isn’t recognizing your subscription. Restore Purchase forces the app to revalidate what you own.

Important: It only works if the original purchase was made with the same Apple ID.


4. Troubleshooting payment issues

If your payment fails

Try these steps:

  • Check that your card is valid and not expired.

  • Ensure the billing address matches your bank’s records.

  • Make sure you have enough available balance.

  • Try a different card or payment method in your app store.

If your subscription doesn’t activate

  1. Close the TM app completely, then open it again.

  2. Check your app store receipt to confirm billing succeeded.

  3. If needed, go to Profile > Restore Purchase.

  4. If it still doesn’t activate, contact us with your app store receipt.


5. App Store card linking If your card isn’t linking or keeps getting declined in the App Store / Google Play:

iOS

  • Update your card under Settings > Your Name > Payment & Shipping.

  • Remove old payment methods.

  • Re-add the card manually.

  • If the App Store blocks the card, try Apple Pay instead.

Android

  • Go to Google Play > Profile Icon > Payments & subscriptions.

  • Tap Payment methods.

  • Remove outdated cards and add the correct one.

  • If the card is repeatedly declined, check with your bank for merchant restrictions.

  • Redeemable Google Play gift cards
